Some guests have reported longer wait times during peak hours, particularly on Sundays when the restaurant reaches full capacity. This can detract from the experience for those not keen on waiting. Additionally, while the menu is extensive, a few diners expressed a wish for more seasonal specials to keep offerings fresh. Limited seating at times may also lead to disappointment, so reservation is recommended, especially during busy dinner hours. A few reviews hint at occasional noise levels being higher, especially during busy moments, which may affect the ambiance for some.

Brilliant food. The staff are great and cheerful.
What an amazing find this was. Amazing Sunday Roast and fudge cake, service was brilliant as they found us a seat even though they were fully booked. Nice quiet atmosphere and child friendly. Can't wait to be back!
Roast Beef Dinner. Very comfortable atmosphere with excellent service. The food was very hearty and of generous portions. For the price point, well worth it!
First time visitors and will definitely be back. I had the new lamb shank with mash and minted greens. The lamb was cooked to perfection, smooth mash and the greens had a lovely crunch to them but weren't raw. My partner opted for the duck which is also a new addition, again, the entire plate was cooked beautifully. Staff were welcoming and really down to earth we didn't want for anything.
Food in this Bistro is fabulous, such a varied menu. Seven on us visited and everyone was pleased with their dishes. Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. There is also a snooker room at the back so anyone can play before or after dinner.
Managed to get in here during a trip up to Barnsley with a friend - they managed to seat us as a walk-in without a booking, which was great. Friendly service and the Sunday roast was fantastic. Beef was melt in your mouth, highly reccomended.
